Caleb is prominent writer who loses his wife to a hit-and-run accident that leaves him with a fading memory of a one-legged-bird picture.
he follows this memory to a new city, where he takes up with a young filmmaker. the two inspire each others' work...that is, until Caleb makes a connection in his wife's death.
